Field Notes

Reflections on communicating in the age of AI,
plus workshop news

A communication revolution is underway

Technology has a wild history of upending how we communicate.

It’s happening again right now. Strategies and opinion pieces authored by bots. LinkedIn posts that all sound the same. People seeking advice from AI before a colleague.

When revolution happens, we rarely stop to ask how we stay connected as humans along the way. Or what’s being lost and how to save it. This isn’t a question of whether to use new technology, rather how.

This newsletter is for everyone who believes that human connection is an edge in this AI world, and wants to lean into it.

It’s for everyone who knows that how you show up in the world matters. How you speak, how you listen, how you lead. The style that’s uniquely you.

Field Notes is where I think out loud as I work side-by-side with leaders navigating this topsy-turvy time. My notes are short, candid, and straight from the field.

It’s a revolution.

Let’s go together.

A little bit about me

I’m Jacqueline Voci. I counsel leaders on communications and storytelling. And I run workshops to help organizations tap into human ingenuity.

My clients run the gamut - from technology and financial services companies, to not-for-profits and social ventures. I’ve been a communicator for over two decades, so I’ve been at the forefront of communication revolutions before.

I’ve also been a meditation student for nearly 20 years, teaching since 2013. Meditation informs my approach to communication and every aspect of my life.
